Comparative study of the host-guest complexes of [60]- and [70]- fullerenes with N,N'-dibenzyl-1,4,10,13-tetraoxa-7,16-diaza-cyclooctadecane in different solvents
Article Abstract:
Change-transfer absorption bands of the host-guest complexes of [60]- and [70]- fullerenes with the aza crown ether N,N'-dibenzyl-1,4,10,13-tetraoxa-7,16-diaza-cyclooctadecane in pi-donor solvents and also in the nondonor solvent is detected. The CT absorption band of the [70]- fullerene-aza crown complex appears at a longer wavelength than that of the fullerene complex in each solvent.

NMR spectrometric studies of complexation of [60]fullerene with series of anisoles
Article Abstract:
A detailed (super 1)H and (super 13)C NMR spectrometric study was carried out to obtain insight into the nature of molecular interactions of the electron donor-acceptor (EDA) complexes of [60]fullerene with series of anisoles, namely, anisole, m-bromoanisole, and p-bromoanisole. The results shows that [60]Fullerene are shown to form 1:1 adducts with the above series of anisoles.
